Whilst you could easily kid yourself that summer is over before it really started, Amber Mark’s new banger ‘Heatwave’ will convince you otherwise. The track is a heady mix of samba, dancehall and house, with a heavy piano line providing the backbone to a fantastically danceable track.  Her vocals too are front and centre, sharp and crisp in tone and light as a feather. Earlier this year, Mark dropped her 3.33am EP, and by the looks of things is set for a series of further releases this Autumn. Catch her on tour with Glass Animals later this year and, in the words of Mark herself, "Play it loud". -HM
